Anthropic Web Fetch

Fetch and summarize a web page with Anthropic's native web_fetch tool.

This uses Anthropic's server-side basic fetch tool. The web_fetch_20250910 version remains supported; it does not perform dynamic filtering or render JavaScript pages. See Anthropic's web fetch guide.

Run the Example

Set up your virtual environment

uv venv --python 3.12
source .venv/bin/activate

Install dependencies

uv pip install -U agno anthropic

Export your Anthropic API key

export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY="your_anthropic_api_key_here"

Run the example

Save the code above as web_fetch.py, then run:

python web_fetch.py
