Run the Example

Set up your virtual environment

uv venv --python 3.12
source .venv/bin/activate

Install dependencies

uv pip install -U agno openai surrealdb

Export your OpenAI API key

export OPENAI_API_KEY="your_openai_api_key_here"

Run SurrealDB

Install and start Docker first. This local demonstration uses the agno namespace and memories database with development credentials.

docker run -d --rm --name surrealdb --pull always -p 8000:8000 surrealdb/surrealdb:latest start --user root --pass root

Run the example

Save the code above as memory_search_surreal.py, then run:

python memory_search_surreal.py
